An architectural beauty! In order to meet the increasing demands for comfort and safety, Bruges, which was awarded the title of 'European Capital of Culture' in 2002, renovated the square near the railway station where busses frequently arrive. In addition, we provided six pavilions, including a bus ticket shop and a rest area for the bus personnel, and ten abris. The pillars of the pavilions are made up of flat steel elements welded together in our workshop to form rafters. The walls consist of glass with special lines and the roofs of flat steel mounted on different slopes. As a finishing touch, we provided a fire-resistant layer, an anti-graffiti layer and a powder coating. In addition, there are no visible joints and fixings, and the construction has an integrated rainwater drain in the rafters. The abris are made of galvanised and powder-coated steel with a flat steel roof and walls of tempered glass with etched stripes. As the corners of the abris were not allowed to be rounded, we made the profiles ourselves from two composite L-profiles.
